Due to exciting growth Toltech are looking for a web designer and a web developer to join our team and help produce the best web experience for our wide range of clients.

Our brand new open plan office is located in Greenock, just 25 minutes outside of Glasgow, and offers easy access with excellent parking. We have allocated time every month for R&D and like to finish up at 4pm on a Friday to share ideas among the team about what YOU would like the company to be doing. We love it here, and we’re sure you will to!

Web Designer Position

Availability: Immediate
Salary: 18-22k depending on experience

Requirements

• Experience designing commercial websites on the WordPress CMS; supported by a strong portfolio
• A solid understanding of Photoshop
• A firm understanding and appreciation of branding, design and communication across all aspects of digital media
• Ability to hand code HTML, CSS and jQuery
• Ability to communicate ideas and concepts quickly through sketches, mockups and wire frames
• Ability to structure and present information clearly using page layouts, infographics and advertisements
• Effective self management of your own schedule/time for multiple projects and tasks of varying complexities
• Comfortable in client facing roles with good verbal and written communication skills
• High attention to details across all aspects of the role including design, user experience, content and markup

Web Developer Position

Availability: Immediate
Salary: 18-22k depending on experience

Requirements

• Custom development experience on the WordPress CMS is highly favourable
• Firm understanding of OOP methodologies; supported by examples of your implementation
• Strong PHP and MySql skills; supported by a strong portfolio of code samples
  
• Strong JavaScript skills, specifically using the jQuery framework
• Ability to competently hand code HTML and CSS
• An understanding of RESTful development using both json and xml
• Solid understanding of relational databases and how to model them
• Exposure to 3rd party API’s (i.e Facebook, Twitter etc)
• Effective self management of your own schedule/time for multiple projects and tasks of varying complexities
• Comfortable in client facing roles with good verbal and written communication skills
• Any experience of ASP.NET, C# and MsSql would be advantageous, but is not a prerequisite
• Any experience of Photoshop would also be advantageous, but is not a prerequisite
