The impact of loyalty schemes

Loyalt or customer retention has been in the center of focus for many companies over the last 20 years. Particularly businesses in the travel and retail sector have spent huge amount of money to increase customer loyalty and built long term relationships with their client base.

A recent research from Arvato Loyalty Services showed that these efforts were only partly successful, and, more interestingly, show strong regional differences. ONly one in four customers in the UK admits loyalty to their favourite brand, regional differences fluctuate between 33% and only 16%.
