Manage/Update your own site contents

A Content management System gives you the ability to manage the content (text, pictures and layout) of your website simply and quickly using a web browser (eg. Internet Explorer).

So what can you update with a Content Management System (CMS)?

We have several systems to allow you the flexibility to update most pages on your site. You can change the words, change the pictures and even add links to other sites or live email links.

You can also add, edit or remove pages. This also automatically updates your navigation which you also have control over. Overall you have access to most of the site to update as and when you wish.

What can’t you update?

As much as we want users to have maximum control of the site we do have to draw a line at some elements. There are areas within the navigation hierarchy that we sometimes have to close off.

This is not done to restrict you, more the opposite as we do this to protect you from someone completely creating mayhem with the site. Online Forms are restricted but most people rarely need to edit an online form.

We discuss thoroughly with you beforehand the implications, so that if you do want control of something and we believe you have the skills, then we will work with you to enable this.
