A few weeks ago, I spoke with a specialist recruitment company unhappy with their dated website. They thought it ‘wasn’t doing much’ – and they were right.
Our software showed they had 19 keywords, 8 of which were useful, however only one was ranking in Google’s top 10. Only 7 pages indexed by Google out of 20. They don’t stand a chance unless the person searching knows their name. Compare that to their competitors who ranged between 180 – 2000 keywords and had strong organic traffic.
This is the reality, a good-looking website doesn’t equal visibility. Whilst visuals and images are still important in presenting your message, Google cares less about about them; it cares much more about your content, relevance, and structure.
If your website isn’t performing, you are as good as invisible online.
OFFER: I’m giving 5 businesses (with turnover £1m+) a free performance report of their business against their competitors. Send me your website URL + 4 competitors, and I’ll show you how you really stack up.
